Attorney Stukes brings a wealth of educational and legal experience to the firm, and her passion for helping Houston residents protect their futures in the face of criminal allegations mirrors our firm's founding principles. Betsy holds two degrees – magna cum laude – in political science and speech communication from the University of Georgia.
While earning her law degree at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, she honed her legal skills through a number of hands-on criminal law clinics and internships. Attorney Stukes was the Chief Articles Editor for the American Journal of Criminal law and earned the Texas Exes Teaching Award. She has interned with the Charleston County Public Defender, the Texas Defender Service, and the Harris County Public Defender – all of which equipped her with the experience and insight to effectively defend local residents throughout Houston.
