Forklift Driver Leads Police on Bizarre Chase

Fort Worth police were engaged in a very slow speed chase down I-30, last Sunday, with a man driving a forklift while intoxicated. The driver, Tim Raines, 43, was reportedly drinking beer and making obscene gestures at law enforcement.

Raines claims he had recently stopped taking his bipolar medication and ceased his years-long treatment for mental illness.

According to Raines, he bought the forklift from a stranger for $500 and was driving it home when the police stopped him.

Police suspected that the forklift was stolen and say that he was endangering both motorists and officers with the vehicle. Read the original article here.
