Juan Carlos Guerrero, a drunk driver that killed a retired Air Force serviceman more than 17 years ago, has finally been convicted of the crime. Guerrero eluded responsibility for the 1993 alcohol related wreck and fatality that claimed the life of 55-year-old Jim Blihgsne by adopting a new name and fleeing to Mexico – eventually returning to the US under the new alias.
40-year-old Guerrero pleaded no contest on Wed. and is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
